KitMuster is a peer-to-peer marketplace for buying and selling second-hand military kit, surplus equipment and related gear. KitMuster acts as an intermediary platform and is not a party to any transaction between buyers and sellers. KitMuster is operated by KitMuster Ltd, registered in England and Wales.
You must be at least 18 years old to use KitMuster. By creating an account you confirm that you are 18 or over and that all information you provide is accurate and truthful. KitMuster is available to users in the United Kingdom only.
Sellers are responsible for ensuring all listings are accurate, complete and not misleading. Items must be legally owned by the seller and free to sell. Sellers must dispatch items within 3 working days of a confirmed sale. Sellers must not attempt to conduct transactions outside the KitMuster platform. Sellers must retain proof of postage for a minimum of 6 months and provide this to KitMuster upon request in the event of a dispute.
Buyers must complete payment through the KitMuster platform. Buyers must confirm delivery of items promptly and honestly. Falsely claiming non-delivery where tracked postage evidence confirms successful delivery to the buyer's provided address constitutes fraud and may result in permanent account suspension, reporting to Action Fraud (UK), and civil recovery proceedings. Buyers must not attempt to conduct transactions outside the KitMuster platform. Any disputes must be raised through the KitMuster disputes process within 14 days of delivery. Buyers who initiate a chargeback through their bank without first raising a dispute through KitMuster's resolution centre may have their account suspended. KitMuster will contest all chargebacks where tracked delivery evidence exists.
The following items are strictly prohibited on KitMuster: weapons of any kind including deactivated firearms, live ammunition, explosives or pyrotechnics, items subject to export controls or trade sanctions, classified or sensitive military equipment, counterfeit or replica items presented as genuine, stolen property, and any items illegal to sell under UK law. KitMuster reserves the right to remove any listing at its discretion.
There are no listing fees on KitMuster. A platform fee applies on completed transactions and is deducted from the seller payout. Founding members who joined before 1 October 2026 benefit from a fee waiver during the founding period. Stripe transaction fees apply separately and are not controlled by KitMuster. Current fee rates are available on your seller dashboard.
All sellers are required to dispatch items using a tracked postal service for any transaction with a value of £20 or more. KitMuster strongly recommends tracked postage for all transactions regardless of value. Sellers must upload a valid tracking number to the KitMuster order portal within 3 business days of a confirmed sale. Failure to do so may result in automatic order cancellation and a full refund to the buyer. KitMuster reserves the right to withhold seller payouts where no valid tracking information has been provided. For orders with a value of £500 or more, signature-on-delivery is required. KitMuster is not responsible for items lost in transit where the seller has provided valid tracked postage evidence; in such cases buyers should pursue a claim with the relevant postal carrier.
All payments are processed securely through Stripe. KitMuster does not store card details. Funds are held in escrow until the buyer confirms delivery or 5 business days have elapsed from the tracked delivery date, whichever is sooner. Seller payouts are released within 24 hours of delivery confirmation. KitMuster is not liable for any payment processing errors caused by Stripe.
Buyers may raise a dispute within 14 days of delivery if an item is not as described, not received, or damaged. KitMuster will review evidence from both parties — including tracking information, platform messaging records, and listing details — and make a final decision. KitMuster's decision on disputes is final. Refunds are issued at KitMuster's discretion based on the outcome of the dispute process. Where a chargeback or dispute is found to have arisen as a result of seller misrepresentation, non-delivery, or failure to provide tracked postage, KitMuster reserves the right to recover the full chargeback amount (including any fees imposed by our payment processor) from the seller. Recovery may be made by deduction from pending payouts, deduction from future sales proceeds, or direct invoice to the seller. Sellers who accumulate more than 2 upheld disputes within any 12-month period may have their account suspended pending review.
All messages on KitMuster are subject to content filtering. Users must not share personal contact details, payment information, social media handles or attempt to conduct transactions outside the platform via messages. Violations may result in account suspension or permanent ban. KitMuster reserves the right to review flagged messages.
KitMuster reserves the right to suspend or permanently ban any account that violates these terms, attempts to defraud other users, repeatedly breaches platform rules, or poses a risk to the safety or integrity of the platform. Banned users forfeit any pending payouts relating to fraudulent activity.
All KitMuster branding, design and content is the property of KitMuster Ltd. Users retain ownership of content they upload but grant KitMuster a licence to display it on the platform. Users must not upload content that infringes the intellectual property rights of others.
KitMuster is not liable for the quality, safety or legality of items listed. KitMuster is not liable for the conduct of buyers or sellers. KitMuster's total liability to any user shall not exceed the value of the transaction in dispute. KitMuster is not liable for any indirect or consequential losses.
KitMuster reserves the right to update these terms at any time. Users will be notified of material changes by email. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
